“ Food was delicious! Since it was our first time trying their dishes, they brought samples for us to try, so we can see which dishes we would like! Service was awesome and will come back!!! ”
“ This has been, by far, my best Nigerian dining experience in the 26 years I have lived in this country. I live in a small town where there is no Nigerian restaurant so I am always on the hunt for Nigerian food when I go out of town. I found Olatee online and called in to order some ofada sauce to take back with me. Super easy to order via phone and the person who helped me was really nice. The ofada was frozen as promised and well packed so that it was easy for me to take on the plane (although the rest of the plane did not appreciate the potent smell of the locust beans. Their loss ) While I was there, I had lunch which was excellent. I didn’t have to wait and got exactly what I wanted. Nothing had run out. Service was impeccable. But my favorite part was eating lunch and seeing people from different nationalities and background coming in to eat Nigerian food. Some were new to Nigerian food. Some were regulars. Olatee has displayed our food and culture in vibrant light and I could not be prouder to be Nigerian today. Thank you. I will visit anytime I am in Houston again. ”
“ The food was absolutely phenomenal! My husband, daughter, and I enjoyed it so much that we made the drive all the way from Richmond, Texas, just to experience it again. The flavors were out of this world—it truly was a culinary delight! A huge thank you for the incredible hospitality; it made our visit even more special. We can't wait to come back for more! ”
“ Best Nigerian food in Spring area. Enjoyed the smoky jollof, snails and goat meat. You will not be disappointed. The service could be a little faster but other than that everything was great. ”
“ This cafe was recommended by a co-worker. The service was great, and the servers were friendly. The restaurant looks nice and clean. The food is great! They had multiple choices of cooked food. I tried the stewed goat meat, jolof rice, grilled chicken, and meat pie. All are delicious. I highly recommend their meat pie. It's very tasty with full flavors. For drinks, I tried the pineapple ginger juice, and it's the best and one of the must try! ”
“ My wife and I were looking for a restaurant to try for lunch on the Woodlands. We like different foods from other countries. I saw the Olatee African Cafe on google maps and we thought we would try it. Very glad that we did. The man at the counter was very helpful explaining what the foods were. We both got Jollof rice, and added chicken and vegetables. She also added plantains and I added hake fish. Everything was very tasty and spiced just right. He warned us about a couple of dishes that were very spicy, that we might try next time. We will be back when we are back in the Woodlands. I recommend it to anyone who likes good food and isn't afraid to try something different. ”
“ For someone who never goes out of their comfort zone my best friend made me try this place today and I can’t say nothing bad about it. The food is phenomenal. The seasoning and taste is amazing. I’ve always seen videos about eating this type of food and I’ve always been intrigued to try it, but never had the guts to do so I’m so glad I did today every bit of it!! Highly recommend this place, Staff was so nice and also gave me a sample platter to try everything he had before ordering to make sure that I liked it, he also explained to me what was in detail, and the mixed drinks were very good as well ”
“ A very cool atmosphere very inviting like the vibes of the restaurant. I enjoy the wallpaper with information on the various leaders of Nigeria. The staff were very helpful in being able to not decide with the shoes, but in giving us a sample so that way we could taste some different cuisine. I’ve never had Nigerian food, but definitely would highly recommend this location. The vegetables were really well spiced and flavorful was delicious a little bit tougher than what I would like in eating meat, but I thought it was a great place to get Nigerian food. Note my rating system: 1 Star: I wouldn't recommend 2 Stars: Didn't hit my standards 3 Stars: Average (nothing special) 4 Stars: Above Average. Would recommend. Still looking for the 5 Star. 5 Stars: Top of their game. Great food. Great service. Would recommend and plan on returning. ”
